“How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?” Hebrews 2:3

The good news of the salvation through Jesus Christ is the message of the Bible. This salvation is described as a great salvation because of its unique characteristics. What makes it different from all others is:

1. This salvation was first announced by the Lord Jesus Christ himself.

2. This message of salvation was confirmed to us by those who directly heard from Jesus Christ Himself, that is, the twelve disciples (apostles).

3. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will (see Heb. 2:3,4).

Beloved, our salvation is a great salvation, because it has been delivered by the Son of God Himself, who is greater than the Old Testament (OT) prophets and even the angels of God. Explore why:

• Jesus Christ is better than the angels (Heb. Chapters 1 & 2). • Jesus Christ is better than Moses, the OT law giver (Heb. 3).

• Jesus Christ is better than Joshua, the one who led his people into the Promised Land (Heb. 4:1-13).

• Jesus Christ is better than Aaron, the great high priest of the OT (Heb. 4:14-7:28).

• Through Jesus Christ, we have better hope (Heb. 7:19).

• Jesus Christ gave us a better covenant than the OT covenant (Heb. 7:22).

• Jesus Christ gave us a better promise (Heb. 8:6).

• Through Jesus Christ, we have a better sacrifice than any other OT sacrifice (Heb. 9:23).

• Jesus Christ offers us better and lasting possession (Heb. 10:34).

• Jesus Christ prepares us a better country (Heb. 11:16).

• Through Jesus Christ, we have better resurrection (Heb. 11:35).

• Jesus Christ provides us better provision (Heb. 11:40).

Therefore, our salvation is a great salvation offered by a Unique Savior. There is no salvation in anyone else. Is your salvation a great salvation? Accept Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of your life and inherit eternal life.
